The Other Side
Founded by artists and curators Aman Askarizad and Parsa Kamehkhosh, The Other Side is a performance art platform based in Vantaa, Finland. Inspired by the dialectical essence of ping-pong—where the perpetual volley of the ball epitomizes the foundational principle of dialogue and reciprocity—our approach transforms the ephemeral nature of performance art into a vibrant discourse of aesthetic and intellectual exchange. It is an interactive journey that challenges, connects, and transforms.
The Other Side is dedicated to enriching Vantaa’s cultural landscape by making it a dynamic hub for performance art. We curate and organize a diverse array of events, including live performance festivals, one-day performance events, screenings, and educational programs, fostering a space where artists and audiences engage in meaningful dialogue.
Supported by the Kone Foundation, The Other Side nurtures an ecosystem where performance art thrives, bridging creators and spectators in an ever-evolving exchange. Through our initiatives, we aim to amplify the presence of performance art in Finland, ensuring its accessibility and relevance within the broader contemporary art discourse.
